Dear future president,
I know that you have a lot of issues to take care of, but I think you should listen to some of the kids who are unable vote yet. What you do in your time in office affects our lives too. One issue that I am really passionate about is gender equality. I think it is unfair for a woman to work the same job as a man, but get paid significantly less. Right now, women only make about 77 cents of every dollar that a man earns for the same work. Women work just as hard as men and should be paid accordingly.
I realize this has been the case for a while, but I believe now is the time to take action. We should encourage businesses to close the gender wage gap and support equal pay in all aspects of their companies. This might seem like a large task, but you have enough power to see to it that progress is made. It is my hope that more women will enter the workforce with confidence because they will not have to worry about unequal pay.
Sincerely,
Megan Fisk
