Dear Hannah,
When you get to college, study diligently, make good friends, work a part time job, and get involved with some campus activities. If you follow this simple advice, you will likely find that you haven’t the time or energy to waste on the anti-Israel (anti-Jewish, actually) imbeciles clogging up the public areas on campus. In fact, you might not even notice them.
As for being a stranger in a strange land, what else is new? You’re a Jew. You’re used to being different. If you find yourself in a position where you have to defend your values, then be prepared: Study, study, study. If you find yourself in a position where you have to defend your life, then be prepared: Train, train, train (Krav Maga is good, easy to learn the basics and as an added bonus – Jewish in origin).
Be tough like the Sabras. Be tough like everyone who came before you and will follow after you.
We aren’t victims anymore and should never give anyone the impression that we are.
