Dear future president,

Have you ever been unsure of which restroom to use? Have you ever feared the punishment that could follow if you were to use the one that suits your identity?

As a gender fluid individual, this is a daily struggle for me and many other people who identify outside of the gender binary. For everyone who’s biological gender does not align with their gender identity, it is terrifying.

That is why I ask you, future president, to support my community by promoting gender-neutral bathrooms. Although some gender-neutral bathrooms already exist, they are few in number and are only located in specific areas. These bathrooms need to be nationwide to make  people like me feel safer and more comfortable with the way they identify.

Sincerely,

Taylor Cooper
