‘PANTS ON THE GROUND’ at the American Idol Finale red carpet

“PANTS ON THE GROUND, PANTS ON THE GROUND, LOOKIN’ LIKE A FOOL WITH YOUR PANTS ON THE GROUND. WITH YOUR HEAD TURNED SIDE WAYS, PANTS ON THE GROUND!”

If you didn’t sing those last two sentences, you’re lying. Anyone who watches American Idol surely remembers the man who auditioned singing his own song, “Pants on the Ground.”

I was standing at the red carpet, waiting for the next person to interview when this man walks up to me, looks me in the eyes, and starts singing PANTS ON THE GROUND! Immediately, I realized that I was in the presence of someone who has made me laugh many times for years.
