Dear future president,

I want to live in a country where everyone is accepted. Dr. King said that people should not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.

This is something that is not the case today, partially due to rhetoric, which a current presidential nominee is releasing. We should not be denying entrance into our country based on who they are and where they came from.

If the United States hadn’t been such an accepting country for much of its history, many of us today, including myself, would not be in the country. After all, isn’t our pride in diversity what has made America the great country it STILL is today?

Sincerely,

Ben Ramirez
