Coachella acts to see

Another year comes along and what most teenagers and young adults wait for is the highly anticipated music festival where high profile celebrities attend, alongside great artists performing, Coachella.

Here’s a list of notable acts one must see attending Coachella 2015.

Friday performers:

AC/DC: Fan or not, how many people can say they have seen one of the greatest rock bands of all time live? It’s one of their first shows in six years. AC/DC have set their name in stone as legends from hits “Highway to Hell” to “Back in Black” one cannot go wrong to see the closing act on Friday night. AC/ DC is set to hit the Coachella stage at around 10:35 p.m.

Kimbra: Winning a Grammy for her feature on record of the year track “Somebody That I Used to Know” Kimbra has come a long way in the music world. From opening up for Foster the People in 2012, to now performing at the Gobi tent at Coachella Kimbra has made a name for herself. Kimbra debut studio album from 2011, “Vows” got the world’s attention with hits “Cameo Lover” and “Settle Down.” She then released her second album in 2014, “The Golden Echo.” Kimbra has a different take on the world of pop music, and her creativity flourishes on and off the stage. Be sure to catch her at the Gobi Tent at 4:15.

Kiesza: Newcomer to the world of music, Kiesza got her radio play with the song “Hideaway.” Kiesza is gradually making a name for herself featuring on the track by Jack Ü “Take Ü There.” Kiesza is building up in the music world, illustrating her unique edge on each of her tracks.  Check out Kiesza’s set Friday in Mojave section at 4:55.

Saturday performers:

Cashmere Cat: Cashmere Cat is a Norwegian DJ, making his way to fame with his hit collaboration with pop superstar Ariana Grande for the track, “Be My Baby.” Recently Grande brought along Cashmere Cat for her Honeymoon tour. Cashmere Cat is taking a break to perform at Coachella 2015. His newest track, “Adore” also features Grande and other tracks include “Wedding Bells” and “Mirror Maru.” Before he hits the stardom level of other notable DJs such as Martin Garrix, David Guetta, etc. Make sure to catch Cashmere Cat’s set Gobi Tent at 4:45.

Hozier: Rising to fame with his worldwide, controversial hit “Take Me to Church.” Grammy nominated artist Hozier is one of the most highly anticipated acts for Coachella 2015. Vocally and instrumentally he is a great act to see. Hozier performs on the Coachella main stage at 6.

The Weeknd: The soothing voice of Canadian R&B artist The Weeknd is one of the best acts to see at Coachella this year. Roughly using any additional instruments or background track, The Weeknd is just him and his great vocals. The Weeknd’s set list includes hits he has been featured on such as “Love Me Harder” alongside performing covers, “Drunk in Love.” The Weeknd will make his way to the Coachella stage at 11:25 p.m.

Sunday Performers:

Drake: From actor to worldwide rapper, Drake is one of the most successful artists of this generation. Dropping his mixtape as surprise mid Feb. he gained huge recognition. Drake’s weekend one performance at Coachella gained massive attention due to the surprise appearance of infamous pop star Madonna. Drake is expected to perform teasers from his new album, Views From the 6. Drake is set to perform on the Coachella stage at around 10 p.m.

Madeon: At just 20 years old Madeon has made a name for himself as a producer and DJ. Notable names from Lady GaGa to Chris Martin have asked to work with this French genius. Madeon’ debut album “Adventure” came out around 2 weeks ago and made its way to #1 on the Billboard charts. Featured artists on the album include Bastille frontman Dan Smith to Passion Pit, to even lead singer Mark Foster from Foster the People. Check out Madeon’s set on the Sahara Stage at 6:20

Florence and the Machine: Set to release their third studio album in June,  How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful, Florence and the Machine will be performing some songs off the album at Coachella. Lead singer, Florence  Welch has been known for her impeccable participation with the fans. Last weekend at Coachella, Welch asks everyone to hug someone and then remove an item of clothing.  Be prepared for amazing vocals alongside crazy surprises when Florence and the Machine perform at the Coachella stage at 8:50 p.m.

Vance Joy: Within a year his lead single “Riptide” made its radio debut, alongside roaming the top 10 chart on iTunes. Vance Joy caught the eye of Taylor Swift which has now led him to be one of the opening acts for her highly anticipated “1989” tour. After the renowned success of his first single, his second “Mess is Mine” also made a notable connection with fans. Before Joy hits the road with Swift check him out more up close and personal on the Mojave Stage at 5:30.
