The varsity boys’ water polo team is ranked number one in the nation and has an undefeated 23-0 overall record with a 3-0 league record. The squad is on track to repeat as CIF champions after defeating Mater Dei High School in the finals last year.

The team’s biggest challenges have historically been its games against rivals Loyola High School and Mater Dei. This season, the boys have already picked up three wins against each team. The second win against Mater Dei, whose team is ranked number two in the nation, was the most viewed water polo livestream in the history of Harvard-Westlake Television’s online website.

Junior Ben Hallock, one of the team’s top goal scorers, shares his thoughts on the prospect of finishing as the first undefeated water polo team in Harvard-Westlake School history and what it feels like to be on the best high school water polo team in the country.
