The Garfield High School girls’ varsity basketball team hosted Calabasas High School on Friday, December 5.

The win slipped away from the Bulldogs, as they started the second half leading Calabasas 35-21. Forward Monica Garcia had 17 on the night, but it was not enough as the Calabasas offense kicked into gear in the second half.

Garfield had 10 turnovers in the second half; Calabasas managed to use that flaw to their advantage as Garfield fell short 57-64.
