Lawmakers in L.A. are considering a potential minimum wage increase to as high as $15.25 an hour by 2019, causing some to speculate that it would force some businesses to leave town.

“I love L.A., but that doesn’t mean it’s my best bet,” business owner Tom Yanow said. “Do you want to go somewhere where you can make money, or do you want to go somewhere where they’re stacking the cards against you?”
