‘Swiddleston’… The next big celebrity romance?

A couple of weeks back, Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris, together for 15 months, decided that going their separate ways would be for the best.

Needless to say, Swift and Harris fans alike were definitely not happy with the situation. They dated for over a year, and it was no lie… They were absolutely adorable together. But Swift seems to have moved on, and the new romance she is supposedly in is quite shocking, and definitely unlikely.

Tom Hiddleston, the 35-year-old English actor best known for playing Loki in the Marvel franchise “Thor,” was seen canoodling with Swift in Rhode Island, right next to the beach. (Here’s more photos and the original article reporting their “secret romance“).

According to the British publication, The Sun, Harris responded to this romance with the following tweet (but then proceeded to delete it):

Although deleted, the tweet has been seen by enough fans to deduce that the DJ saw the photos and reacted.

Ever since the release of these photos, fans of both Swift and Hiddleston have responded with mixed feelings, including myself. And the results are divided the way you’d suspect. Those who are fans of Tom Hiddleston are mostly not supportive of the relationship, and those who are fans of Taylor Swift seem to be happy that she has finally moved on from her relationship with Calvin Harris.

I, personally, am not too supportive of the relationship; it just feels really strange and extremely unlikely to see them together (yeah you guessed it, I’m a Tom Hiddleston fan). But hey, I could be totally wrong and they could genuinely be in love and enjoy each other’s company.

It also seems a bit strange to me to see this relationship unfold because you’d think after over a year with Harris, it might take a bit longer than a couple of weeks to move on (or she’s just good at it, I’m not her biggest fan so I wouldn’t really know).

I have nothing against Taylor Swift, as a matter of fact I’m starting to like her music more and more. But in all honesty I don’t really see this relationship going to far. I guess we all just have to wait and see how far “Swiddleston” is going to go! I mean, as long as they’re happy, right?
