Dear future president,

A countless number of high school students, like myself, across this country can’t afford the rising costs of college tuition. I believe that it’s time to make colleges around the country tuition free.

This topic was present on Senator Bernie Sanders’ platform and I strongly believe in his position. I know a handful of people who have 4.0 GPA’s and an above average SAT score, and while FAFSA can help, in most cases it doesn’t assist enough.

While paying the costs of college are likely to pay off for the future, most families cannot afford persistent spikes in tuition. Future president, you must focus on working to fix this issue.

Sincerely,

Angel Covarrubias
