Valentine’s Day has never been a big deal for me. I’ve never made a big deal out of it nor have I hated it with all my passion. You can show your significant other you are grateful for them any other day. I feel like in the society we live today, there’s sort of a pleasure to show off what you have/ what you give. It’s annoying when you see a couple in school giving a gift to their boyfriend/girlfriend claiming to love each other when in reality they have been together for a week. It’s not really necessary.
While Valentine’s Day is not a big deal , these are films worth checking out. The movies I like may not really be considered “lovey dovey” but I see them as “Valentine’s Day” themed. The movies I enjoy are “500 days of Summer,” “10 Things I Hate About You” and “Edward Scissorhands.”
500 days of Summer is about writer named Tom who falls instantly in love with a girl named Summer. In the whole movie, he reflects about the 500 days they have been together.
10 Thing I hate about you is about a girl named Kat who is very smart and beautiful falls for a boy she never thought she would be interested in. She always thought he was bad, but he ends up proving her wrong.
Edward Scissorhands is about a boy named Edward who is seen as an outcast because of his appearance is brought to live in a suburban community by a saleswoman named Peg. Edward falls for Peg’s daughter who looks past Edwards’s appearance.
