High School Insider interns spent the summer writing stories that feature an overlooked aspect of their communities. They took inspiration from longtime L.A. Times columnist Jack Smith’s style in their reporting and writing.
The 2019 HS Insider summer internship is made possible with additional support from the Jack and Denny Smith Memorial Fund for Literacy, the LA84 Foundation and a generous gift Richard Ross.
