Taking an AP class for the first time can be tough. AP World History was the class I decided to take this year. I didn’t know how this class was going to be like, but I knew I had to work hard.

Together my classmates and I made memories and we continue to make them. Sometimes we would come to class tired and still gave it our best to develop our potential.

On Dec. 2, we had a Bonding Day in which we received for all our hard work and effort we put into this class. We went to Pershing Square for an ice skating session, Grand Central Market to eat, and ended our adventure at City Hall’s rooftop. At the rooftop we watched the sunset and played game like pterodactyl and others.

We were very competitive while playing games but worked together. We got to know each other more and talked to people we never really talked to before.

Together as a class, we decided to have a Secret Santa so we can exchange gifts before some of our classmates leave the class. We will exchange the gifts on Dec. 14 since it will be the last time we will all see each other.

As a class, we have built community. As this being my first AP class, I realized that hard work actually pays off. Together we are working hard to pass our AP World History test. I’m really glad I got to experience this adventure with my classmates because I learned a lot of new things and I will continue to learn with them.

“The fact that you aren’t where you want to be, should be enough motivation.”
