Wendy Duncan, Bulldog Bistro teacher, was named 2014-2015 Applied Arts Department Teacher of the Year this month. She has been teaching for 26 years at West Covina High School.

Duncan attended Long Beach State University. Her hobbies include reading, going to the theatre, and attending USC football and Dodger games.

Twelve years ago, Duncan started Bulldog Bistro for students who were interested in culinary arts. She believes it creates job opportunities for them, and it gives them real life experience.

“Mrs. Duncan is one of the sweetest, caring and most generous ladies anyone would want to meet and be friends with. She has taught me how to be more responsible, tolerant, and caring for others,” said one of her students, Jose Guerrero.
