Internship

Each summer, the L.A. Times High School Insider hosts a paid internship full of immersive professional learning opportunities. Young journalists from across Southern California experience the day-to-day life of a professional journalist. The program aims to teach students core journalism fundamentals and multimedia skills while exposing them to a professional work environment and mentorship at the Times.

As a HS Insider intern, students will have the opportunity to experience life as a professional journalist: covering breaking news, crafting feature enterprise stories and experimenting in multimedia storytelling. Made possible by the Jack and Denny Smith Memorial Fund for Literacy, interns will spend seven weeks writing stories, producing videos and creating podcasts all published on latimes.com/hsinsider.
