Some of entertainment’s favorite stars came to support Mattel Children’s Hospital UCLA (www.uclahealth.org/mattel) and celebrate the 17th Annual Mattel Party on the Pier benefiting Mattel Children’s Hospital UCLA. The event took place on Sept. 25 at Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Sponsored by Mattel, Inc., the fun-filled family day included unlimited rides; plus carnival games stocked with prizes donated by Mattel; a VIP area hosted by the Toys “R” Us Foundation featuring lunch donated by Wolfgang Puck Catering; and a brand new Kid’s Fun Lounge for all guests. The Kid’s Fun Lounge featured a variety of activities, including glitter tattoos and face painting from Skechers, a custom cookie decorating station hosted by Ralphs, and a Wall of Hope.
Party on the Pier guests decorated and post inspirational messages on the wall in honor of the hospital patients. Other key supporters of the event included Ellen and Richard Sandler, Johnny Carson Foundation, Beth and Neal Cutler, EJ and Gregory Milken, The Milken Family Foundation, and the Littman Family Foundation.
For the first time, #MattelPOP is accepting “TEXT TO DONATE” donations to help make a difference. Supporters nationwide are invited to Text Mattel POP16 to 24700 starting Sept. 25 to help provide funding to launch high-priority programs and innovative discoveries that benefit boys and girls being treated at Mattel Children’s Hospital UCLA and around the world.
