Fans of the book and television series, “The Summer I Turned Pretty,” have eagerly awaited news of season three after the surprising end to season two last year. According to “The Economic Times,” on May 14, 2024, Jennifer Salke from Amazon MGM Studios along with director and creator Jenny Han and stars Lola Tung, Christopher Briney and Gavin Gasalegno announced that filming and production for Season 3 of the highly anticipated series will commence this summer.
The screen adaptation of Jenny Han’s series revolves around 16-year-old Belly Conklin’s complicated summers dealing with love triangles, friendships and family dynamics. Viewers watch as Belly navigates her coming-of-age during her summers at Cousins Beach. Season 2 centers around a complicated love triangle between her two best friends, brothers Conrad and Jeremiah Fisher. The series concluded with Belly choosing Jeremiah over Conrad, a decision that caused much debate by fans over who was the better choice for Belly. This choice marked a pivotal moment in the dynamics of the three main characters. Fans eagerly anticipate how the love triangle will develop further in Season 3. Viewers also look forward to seeing how closely the next season of their favorite summertime show will follow Jenny Han’s book series.
