Suraj Shah is a sophomore at Arnold O. Beckman High School. He is a nationally competitive debater, and he is the co-founder of a nonprofit called Debate Discovery Kids (an organization focused on expanding access to debate to underserved communities). At school, he is class president, captain of the Beckman Debate Team, captain of the Beckman Mock Trial Team, and president of Beckman History Club. Additionally, he is a civic leader who has worked for various campaigns, political organizations, and think tanks. In his free time, Suraj enjoys playing basketball, singing, writing about politics and current events, and spending time with his friends.
