Gaby Herbst wears many hats in the classroom. She advises Advanced Journalism and Yearbook along with teaching English. However, as a progressing surfer, devoted vegan and environmental lover, she too maintains a vibrant life outside of school.
A former student at Beverly Hills High and “Yerd”—Yearbook nerd, as she calls it—Herbst found herself close to home teaching in the same room where she found solace as a teenage girl. Always bringing her cleverly critical eye, Herbst focuses on making her students better writers, communicators and students overall.
“Yearbook class is what kept me coming to school,” she said. “Finding a passion in high school is the most important lesson that Beverly taught me to try and pass on to my students.”
