If you love filmmaking with years of experience or have never touched a camera but want to learn, Ghetto Film School — Los Angeles (GFS-LA) is the place for you.

GFS LA is a groundbreaking initiative that brings its award-winning Fellows Program to diverse Angeleno storytellers ages 14-18 years with a free, rigorous 30-month pre-professional immersion in cinematic storytelling and production training. Bring your vision onto to the big screen.

Students from LAUSD / USC Cinematic Arts & Engineering Magnet spent the year finding organizations around their neighborhoods that offered opportunities for teens to gain experiences outside of the classroom. After researching these organizations, students produced, shot and edited documentaries to showcase the amazing work being done by area students. Our ultimate goal is to help raise awareness for all teens about these opportunities to improve the health, education, career readiness, and safety of themselves, their peers, their families, and their neighborhoods.
