Dear future president,
As I get ready to embark on my collegiate journey, I’m sure of who I want to be and what I want to study. But I don’t want anyone else to tell me that it’s “brave” of me to follow my passions, because journalism can be a “dangerous” field for girls. As our president, you can build a workforce where young women can make our voices heard. I want to know that no matter what I pursue, I will receive the same pay, treatment, and respect as my male counterparts. Women in the media should be more than pretty faces. Make it safe and desirable for me to achieve my goals. You have the power to make this country a place where young women can have the same fearless dreams as young men.
