Monet, Mona Lisa and majestic murals are just three things you’ll see if you take Valerie Park’s beginning art or AP Art History class at Mira Costa High School. Brimming with passion and knowledge for the arts, Park’s art classes are anything but average.

Art is never solely based on the physical. A vast majority of the time, it’s based on what art brings to you on the personal level. For Park, art is not only the vehicle to teach, but also a way to build relationships with every student.
