Angel Jose Covarrubias is a 17 year old senior at Los Angeles River High School. He is a 6’4 point forward, and the captain of the Sotomayor basketball team. Upon graduation, he will attend Cal State Los Angeles. He wants to major in Child Psychiatry. Angel grew up in a gangrelated part of Glassell park where he lives with his two younger brothers, and two younger sisters. He grew up playing basketball with his brother daniel at Glassell Park Recreation Center. He believes that everyone should have love and peace and that should spread throughout the world. His music interest ar rappers like Logic, Lil Dicky and Kendrick Lamar. His role model is Kobe Bryant. He has close friends but h rather refer to them as family.
