Fernanda Matias

Fernanda Matias is a sophomore at Castaic High School. With a passion for advocating for her community, she often writes about adversity that the Latinx community faces, in addition to social justice issues and racial inequality. Fernanda is editor of the Passion section of her school's newspaper, "The Daily Howl." She is also the founder and president of the Latinx Culture Appreciation Club at her high school. Besides writing, Fernanda loves to make playlists, watch movies, and play the piano.
