Gerardo Solorzano

Gerardo Solorzano a senior and native of East Los Angeles, currently attends East Los Angeles Renaissance Academy. He is currently in Leadership and works to make his academy a supportive learning community. He was truly honored to be one of the few select students of ELARA to be chosen to go on an overnight fieldtrip to four different Universities. Solorzano enjoys drawing and mostly spends his time designing shirts, sweaters, and jerseys he finds that making these designs help him think better and hopes that one day he can make his own brand. This has made Solorzano passionate about designing and can be seen spending hours just designing and creating new apparel. Solorzano is currently planning to major in design and start his dream of making a brand. Solorzano is going to become the first person in his family to go to college. He dream is to be accepted to UCLA but he will be honored to be accepted to any four year university. His passion for design comes from the goal to provide for his mother and father as a way to thank them for all the sacrifices they had done for him and his younger sister. Solorzano always wants his family to be proud of him and to be proud of the man he becomes. He wants to start his own brand one day and hopes he can give back to the community that he has been a part of for his entire life.
