Sriya Datla is a Los Angeles Times High School Insider Student Advisory Board Member and a freshman at El Camino Real Charter High School in Los Angeles, California. She actively participates in Model United Nations, Speech & Debate, and is a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo. As the President and Founder of her high school's Active Minds and STEM Without Boundaries chapters, she raises awareness towards mental health and is extremely passionate about empowering women in the STEM field. Sriya is part of her high school's UNICEF Cabinet, in which she supports their initiative of helping children from impoverished countries to gain access to the basic needs. As a Student Ambassador at The Leaders Readers Network, she continues to pursue her love of reading, wants to create opportunities for those who don’t have access to the educational resources and hopes to become an impactful leader in her generation. She feels passionate to raise awareness through her content, which varies from medicine to current issues. In the future, she aspires to become a pediatrician and journalist.
