Clare is the editor-in-chief for the student newspaper, The Optimist, at Pioneer High School in Ann Arbor. Outside of journalism, she plays the cello—which she harbors mixed feelings for—and leads her school’s literary arts magazine, IMPACT. In the future, she’d like to travel to the Blue Lagoon in Iceland even though she dislikes plane rides (a lot).
